Rebrand and repurpose this historic campground as a model for sustainable community development offering jobs skills training through service learning, all to preserve and restore this 158-year old historic landmark for future generations. Community Engagement resulted in $100+K of probono business and volunteer services.
NEIU Peace Fire
An enhanced web presence connects Peacekeepers and Spiritual Leaders around the world. Northeastern Illinois University campus has served host for over 30 years where thousands have participated in ceremonies to share their indigeneous knowledge and wisdom, with coal bundles from the fires traveling around the world.
